Located 40 miles south of Anchorage in the Glacier Valley of Girdwood. Home to Alaska’s largest ski area, Alyeska Ski Resort. Girdwood offers both summer and winter activities.

Our Daily or Weekly B & B style rental is a 2 bedroom suite. There is a semi-private entrance and a private bathroom with shower. In the bedrooms are queen size beds and there is a queen size sofa bed in the living room making it possible to sleep up to three couples traveling together or a family of six. Included is a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. We also have a small storage for personal gear.

The Glacier House, offers a panoramic view of six glaciers and Alyeska Ski Resort, located on Mt. Alyeska. Conveniently located along the picturesque Turnagain Arm on the Seward highway where you can view wildlife, eagles and whales. Glacier View is located just a short 10 minute walk to the slopes and trails at the Alyeska Ski Resort. Summer offers hiking, biking or riding the tramway. In addition to downhill skiing and snowboarding in the winter you can take advantage of our heli-skiing, cross-country skiing, horse-drawn sleigh rides or take a ride on a snowmachine. If you prefer, you can even do it the true Alaskan way – ride in a sled pulled by dogs.

Located on a quiet street in Girdwood, Northern Comfort offers a beautifully furnished, one-bedroom suite with a private entrance and tiled steam room and shower located on the first level of our home. There is a custom-designed kitchenette filled with various items to eat and drink at your leisure. Furnishings include a pillow-top queen bed along with a deluxe sleeper sofa, recliner, table and chairs, and entertainment armoire, all which round out the living space and assure our guests of home-like comfort and ease.
